The Canteen
Affordable dining in the heart of the beautiful and historic Citadel campus.
The Munnerlyn Snack Bar, also known as The Canteen, is open to the public and serves breakfast and lunch weekdays. Shelves along the wall are reminiscent of the shelves in the original snack bar—located on the site of the Gift Shop—where freshmen and sophomores had to stand to eat. The current site of The Canteen was originally a bowling alley.
