Willson Field
Willson Field, which is used primarily for football practice, is a state-of-the-art artificial turf field—and was the first of its kind in the Charleston area. In addition to football practice, the new turf is used for a variety of Corps of Cadets activities, including intramurals, club sports, physical education classes, military exercises, and other intercollegiate sporting events as well as a practice field for the Regimental Band and Pipes.
A Mobile Tactical Training Center (MTTC) is located on the corner of Willson Field. Students in the tactical academic programs will get hands-on coaching experience on the MTTC as they work under our faculty and staff who will be engaging with our local community to train tactical athletes including our cadets, ROTC units, plus local military and first responder agencies.
