Dr. Sarah Tenney
Associate Professor
Dr. Sarah Tenney is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science. Born in Alexandria, VA, she graduated from Marietta College in Marietta, OH in 1982. She attended the University of Kent at Canterbury (UK), receiving her master’s degree in 1986 with a major in international relations.
After serving as a news analyst for a private consulting firm, Dr. Tenney joined the staff of the International Monetary Fund, where she held positions of increasing responsibility from 1987 to 2003.
In the fall of 2003, she enrolled in the PhD. program in Political Science at the University of Mississippi, with a major field in international relations and a minor in comparative politics. Her areas of specialization include international political economy and international organization.
