Study Abroad takes students to new heights
Over the summer, The Citadel offered nearly a dozen study abroad opportunities for cadets and students who travelled to destinations around the world, including the Netherlands, Costa Rica, England, Honduras, Italy, Spain, Estonia and Kenya.
Among these students were Regimental Operations Officer Andrew Palmer, who deepened his understanding of international business in Oxford, England, and Cadet Samuel Mermilliod, who explored the ecology of various rainforests in Tobago, Trinidad.
Cadet Boone Morgan hiked Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest peak. Reflecting on his journey, Morgan described it as his most physically challenging experience yet and compared the climb to “stepping onto another planet.”
The Citadel’s robust study abroad programs are supported by the Center for International and Special Programs.
