Business professors abroad
Visiting Professor of Marketing and Director of Communications and Marketing Maria Aselage and Professor of Accounting and Finance Cynthia Bolt spent their holiday break broadening their horizons on a weeklong trip to Antarctica.
Beginning in Buenos Aires, the pair flew to Ushuaia, Argentina, the southernmost city in the world, before boarding a ship bound for Antarctica on Dec. 13. Aselage and Bolt, alongside other passengers from all over the globe, hiked the continent, spotting wildlife, including many species of penguins, whales, and seals, and they participated in a “polar plunge” in 30-degree water. “We both agree that Antarctica was the most beautiful place we’ve ever visited,” said Aselage. “We encourage everyone to add this extraordinary expedition to their bucket list.”
