Baker Business Bowl fosters entrepreneur
Now in its ninth year, the Baker Business Bowl was created to encourage budding entrepreneurs who have an idea for a new product or service, and the desire to turn that idea into a business. It’s open to cadets, evening undergraduate students, and graduate students.
Contestants participate in teams and compete in up to three rounds. The final five teams attend a series of educational workshops on how to develop their full business plan.
The second round of this year’s Business Bowl took place on November 9. Ten teams gave elevator pitches to a panel of judges. The finalists were Oasis Verde, Passive Dredging Solutions, Record-Fit, Trailor Moving Robot and Tsuboi Agriculture. Round three of the business plan competition will take place in March.
