Submitting an IRB in the Department of Psychology
Whether you are a graduate student or a cadet who is about to begin a research project involving human participants, you will need to receive IRB (Institutional Review Board) approval before proceeding with the collection of data. In general, the process should begin with a discussion between the student and the faculty advisor. The IRB form and other IRB-related information appear below. For any proposal originating in the Department of Psychology, the completed IRB form should be submitted to Dr. Mike Politano.
Research Involving Human Participants
The Citadel’s Institutional Review Board is responsible for insuring the protection of human research participants in accordance with the ethical principles presented in the Belmont Report and as mandated by federal law.
