Dr. Timothy A. Hanchon
Professor and Director of the Ed.S. in School Psychology
Dr. Hanchon is a Professor of Psychology and the current Director of the Ed.S. in School Psychology Program. Dr. Hanchon also serves as the Coordinator of Internships for the School Psychology program as well as the Administrative Officer for the Southeastern Psychological Association (SEPA). He joined the faculty at The Citadel in 2006. Prior to coming to The Citadel, Dr. Hanchon worked as a school psychologist in Indiana as well as a home-based therapist for severely emotionally disturbed children and youth in Michigan.
Dr. Hanchon’s teaching interests include cognitive and social-emotional / personality assessment, and human development.
Dr. Hanchon’s research interests include various aspects of school psychological and training practices, as well as the identification of students suspected of emotional disturbance.
