Dr. Kathryn Parker
Assistant Professor
Dr. Kate Parker joined the faculty at The Citadel in 2023. She earned her Ed.D. in School Psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 2021. Dr. Parker has an extensive background in systems level consultation, providing training and technical assistance to educators on evidence-based social, emotional, and behavioral practices. At The Citadel, Dr. Parker teaches the counseling sequence within the school psychology graduate program as well as undergraduate courses in developmental psychology and professional issues. She is currently collaborating on several research projects examining the assessment and identification of students with emotional disabilities and professional identity in school psychology. Dr. Parker’s own research interests relate to increasing student engagement and school completion for students at-promise.
