Active Duty Students at The Citadel
The Citadel proudly supports active-duty service members pursuing higher education. Whether you’re working toward a commission or earning your degree to prepare for future opportunities, we provide structured programs designed to fit your needs.
Program Overview
Active-duty military students at The Citadel are first accepted into one of the following programs: Marine Enlisted Officer Commissioning Program (MECEP), Navy Seaman to Admiral-21 Program (STA-21) or other approved education/commissioning programs.
Once enrolled at The Citadel, you will:
- Attend day classes alongside cadets
- Choose from Corps of Cadets majors and minors
- Live off-campus

How to Apply
- To begin your application, submit the appropriate materials for your program:
- Active Duty service members are encouraged to speak with their Educational Service Officer (ESO) on their base or post, before admissions.
