Department Overview
The Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences offers the B.S. in Computer Science (accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET), the B.S. in Cyber Operations, the M.S. in Computer and Information Sciences (jointly with the College of Charleston); graduate certificates in cybersecurity, information systems, and software engineering; and undergraduate minors in computer programming, data science, cybersecurity, and cyber interdisciplinary studies. Our mission is to develop principled leaders knowledgeable in Cyber and Computer Sciences to meet the needs of the 21st century through education, research, experiential learning, and service activities.

The Citadel’s Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences is further advancing its efforts to provide high-quality learning spaces, with two new state-of-the-art labs and security resources opening this week on campus.
Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck Activity cybersecurity specialist, Shiloh Smiles, '22, has been selected as a member of the inaugural U.S. Women’s Cyber Team.
Citadel cadets recently placed 2nd in the Palmetto Cyber Defense Competition and 1st in Hack Warz, a capture-the-flag style hacking competition.
