Dean’s Council
The purpose of the Dean’s Council (Cadet) of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences is to provide feedback about academic programs and the student experience in the School. Members of the Dean’s Council were nominated by Department Heads or the Dean, and represent all major programs in the School. Members are expected to provide thoughtful and critical perspectives to help the Dean advance the mission of the School and the College. The Dean’s Council meets regularly over the academic year.

I am a Charleston local obtaining a political science degree with a background in foreign and military affairs. I am pursuing a career in the Department of State as a foreign service officer. My passions include Rock climbing, SCUBA diving and film. I recently completed an internship for the Charleston county council under Jenny Honeycutt, and currently work for the NCAA as a filmer. My other responsibilities include being Treasurer to The Citadel SCUBA club, and a Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society member.
Tatiana Demcovich
Hello, I am Tatiana Demcovich and I am a double major in both Modern Languages in Spanish as well as Criminal Justice here at The Citadel. As Secretary of The Flying Club, I have a deep passion for aeronautical applications through flight in manned and unmanned aircraft systems as I am currently in Detachment 765 of AFROTC. Upon graduation, I plan to commission into the Air Force as a pilot to continue to hone my leadership skills and assume increased responsibility that I have developed over the years here at The Citadel.

My path to The Citadel was a pursuit to continue a legacy from my family, but more importantly, a pursuit to join the ranks of those who would facilitate my growth into a more prepared adult – a Citadel Man. I am a senior Criminal Justice major with a minor in Psychology, and I am seeking employment in federal law enforcement to give back and serve my nation as best I can. I am a member of the Honor Court and have been blessed to call the members of the “COVID class” of 2024 my friends – they were and are the greatest proponents of self-improvement in my time here at school.
Luke Stringfield
I am an Intelligence and Security Studies major with a double minor in Leadership Studies and Spanish from Aiken, SC. Upon graduation, I am hoping to accept a commission into the United States Army and serve Active Duty. I decided to come to The Citadel just a few months before matriculation day 2022, but it was one of the greatest decisions of my life. The challenge, opportunities, and connections here on campus provide a once in a lifetime experience for college!
