Oral Presentations
The URO is partnering with the Public Speaking Lab directed by Gervais Del Porto to allow students an opportunity to practice and improve public speaking skills. Taking advantage of this opportunity will improve the student’s ability to present scholarly work at local, regional, and/or national conferences. Check out the Public Speaking Lab website or email the office at ocl@citadel.edu.
Poster Presentations
For the Student Excellence Day (March 27, 2020) posters should be approximately 3 feet tall and 4 feet wide to fit on the trifold which will be provided on the day of the conference. When you prepare posters, see the links below for helpful tips, and minimize excessive color. When complete, send your poster electronically to the following email address reference@citadel.edu. Once printed, you will be contacted to pick up your poster from the library.
On the day of the conference, you will bring your poster to Deas Hall where there will be a number assigned to your poster. You will find your number with your name on signs outside the doors of the gymnasium. Then you will locate your number with its tripod and trifold to mount your poster with the provided clips. Judges will judge posters between 8 am to 11 am, but you will be required to stand by your poster only between 8 am and 10 am.
