Find Your Place on Campus
Our intent in the Department of Cadet Activities is to support the school’s mission. The mission is to develop principled leaders through active involvement in clubs and organizations. Clubs and organizations allow students to make their campus life unique to them.
There are many clubs, organizations, religious ministries, and publications available for students at The Citadel. From ice hockey and surfing to mentoring and the Student Veteran Association, you will find an activity on campus that fits you. The encouragement to participate in extracurricular activities is a key part of The Citadel. This allows students to find camaraderie outside of activities required at The Citadel to enhance their campus life. Cadets interested in chartering a club on The Citadel campus should be familiar with The White Book, Chapter 4, Section 1, which contains important information regarding cadet activities. The Club Advisor Handbook contains important information for the advisor of each club. If you are looking for specific information about club sports, click here. Quotes From Students
“I needed an outlet for physical aggression and an inherent need as a Marine to be comfortable in the water. I was invited by Col. Dunne and have not looked back sense. My favorite thing about the underwater rugby club is both the relationships and the camaraderie the club provides.” Benjamin Knight

“What drew me to this (Student Veterans Association) opportunity was to fill a pillar of my life that was missing once I separated from active duty, which was overall fitness. While still being a member of the reserves I have to maintain a certain physical fitness standard and this session provides that ability to be fulfilled once a week, until we make this program grow into a larger platform. The energy from Coach D and the rest of our participants recreates that unified feeling of overcoming something as a unified group and keeps camaraderie at a high around our Veteran/Active Duty population on campus.” Aj Pasco
