Prospective cadets and prospective CGC and CTP students are strongly encouraged to visit the college before deciding to attend.
For prospective cadets, The Office of Admissions offers daily individual visits that are open to all interested students and their families. These visits include an interview with an admissions counselor and a campus tour guided by a Citadel cadet. Prospective cadets are also encouraged to make an overnight visit. Overnight visits are scheduled throughout the school year and are the most effective way to determine if The Citadel is the best college choice for you. During overnight visits, you will go to classes, eat in the mess hall, sleep in the barracks, and participate in other aspects of cadet life. As an overnight visitor, you will be assigned a cadet host for your stay. These overnight visits are restricted to those students who have been academically accepted for admission and may be arranged through the Office of Admissions. Click here for more information about our Inside the Gates: Pre-Knob Overnight program.
For prospective Graduate and Evening/Online Undergraduate students, please fill out this form, or contact The Citadel Graduate College, (843) 953-5089 or cgc@citadel.edu for a campus tour. If a campus tour is of inconvenience, please take a look at our virtual tour.
Interested groups and organizations can arrange a cadet-led tour of campus during the school year. Please call (843) 953-6779 for further details, or contact the Office of Communications & Marketing (OCM) using our campus tour request form.
Further information for visitors is available on our Campus Guide web page, including directions and maps.
